Alias [Aadela]
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Law and I also studied midwifery for two years and worked in a hospital for four years.
I worked in the Ministry of Defense for five years and I loved my job. I was the first and only person to join the army from my family, despite my whole family being against me because it was rare for a woman to join the army and against society’s traditions. My dream is to be safe in a country where I can continue my studies up to PhD. I wish to be in a society where I can work without any sexual discrimination. I am fond of sewing, singing, playing volleyball, and reading.

I have studied medical technology in university and worked in hospital for five years. I was a military officer and worked in Afghan Air Force for four years. I was a pilot candidate and was waiting for a scholarship. Unfortunately, the Taliban took Afghanistan and now they want the Afghan women to sit at home and not work or study at all.
From childhood, I had a dream to be a pilot one day. I joined the military and went to Afghan Air Force just to achieve my goal. I joined the army and I was on the way to become a pilot, but then the Taliban took Afghanistan and my dream remains just a dream. I wish I could achieve my goal. I know it is not possible in Afghanistan, but I wish to go in a safe country which can work and study without any problem. I am the only one who knows English language in my whole family. My favorite hobbies are reading, teaching, and playing volleyball.

I was born into a poor peasant family. From the beginning, I had a passion for the military and I wanted to serve my country. I entered [*] University with excellent grades and studied law. From the beginning, I had an interest in the military sector and I won several letters of appreciation in the field of sports and military activities held at the university. I won first place several times. If our visa comes, God willing, I would like to again serve in my new country’s military and serve all human society, regardless of religion, language, race and ethnicity.
I can work with a variety of M16 and M14 weapons. I am proficient with most computer programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Access.

I was a member of Afghan Air Force in Afghan National Army. I served there ten years and my army rank was Major. I studied Law and Administration faculty in [*] University in Kabul Afghanistan for four years and have a bachelor’s degree. I wished to be one of the leaders in Afghan Air Force, but unfortunately the government of Afghanistan collapsed by Taliban on 15 August 2021. I wish to continue my study and become a useful person in the society. I can embroider, sew clothes, draw pictures, and write for journalism. Beside these skills I can learn new professions very fast. My family, especially my father, encouraged me to join the Army and serve the people of Afghanistan. All the time my family members supported me and encouraged me in my life. I understand English language as well and speak it fluently.
Now my life is in danger and I have a lot of stress. I am afraid of the Taliban in power. I must change where I live every couple of days, so they don’t find me. Everyone knows this situation is more difficult for the members of Army in Afghanistan, especially for women who were in the Army of Afghanistan. I hope you can save my life.

I am a former Afghan Air Force Officer. I served in the Afghan Air Force Army for six years. I graduated from college with a nursing diploma. If I could have any chance to follow my dreams I would like to become a midwife or nurse. I also dream of having my own factory to provide jobs for women who have good skills of tailoring, embroidery or needle working. I also have good skills on knitting and needle working. I always tried to be on my own feet and took many risks in my life to make a better life for myself and be useful to my society. I was the only person in my family who joined the army which was a very risky job in Afghanistan. It could put your family's life in danger, which has happened now. In addition, I was the only person in my family who joined the medical field. My family have always been supportive of me and they provided me all my college expenses when I came to Kabul to study for my future career.

I am a Pashtun girl whose only support was my mother and my mother's only wish was for me to become an ANA officer. Before the arrival of the Taliban, I served in the Air Force as a lieutenant. My husband, my daughter, and I were a happy family. When the Taliban took over Afghanistan, we lost everything. My husband fled to Iran. My daughter and I stayed in Afghanistan. I am still afraid of my relatives. If they find out that I was in the ANA, they will kill me and my daughter as much as the Taliban. I am in a situation where I must change my living place every day to save my life and that of my daughter, because I do not have the money to travel to go to my husband. As a mother, it is my duty to save my daughter. My only hope is to be able to leave Afghanistan and save my daughter. I want my daughter's future to be bright and I want to study again. I want to make my dreams come true. I am very happy to be a pilot or an army officer. May God help us all.

I was the only one who could support my father and mother. I was very interested the army. I wished that one day I could serve my homeland and my people. Finally, after a lot of effort, I was able to enter the national military academy of Afghanistan and continue my education there. At that time, I was the first girl among myself and our people to enter the system. I got there with the encouragement of my mother and father in the family. But now in Afghanistan all our dreams were shattered by the advance of the Taliban. I hope that one day our dreams will come true again and we will be able to serve the people again.

Where I am from, girls are not even allowed to think about the dream of life. I am a girl full of dreams and my greatest wish as a child was to wear the uniform. I wanted to be a great army leader and serve my homeland. I was the first girl to fight in my family. The first day I wore a military uniform, I thought the whole world was mine. I wish all the girls would achieve the dreams they love.

One of my greatest dream and goals was going to military and become a soldier. Fortunately, my family did not prohibit me. One of my other dreams at that time was to make a big restaurant with delicious Afghani foods. I can sew different kinds of dresses and my English is good. These days I am working painting (art) as well. I hope that one day the dream of all girls become real and we could leave this bad situation.
